
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
- Maintain patient records and update medical history as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Billing and insurance claims processing
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient care
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as TDO, Curve, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.
- Knowledge of medical records management systems and procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines for patient privacy
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with phone systems and medical scheduling is a plus
