Dental Receptionist/Front Desk Position

Duties

• Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures.
• Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate with clinical staff, and manage the clinic calendar to optimize patient flow.
• Collect and process payments, insurance co-pays, and perform medical billing using knowledge of health insurance policies including Medicare and HIPAA compliance.
• Review and update patient medical records, ensuring accuracy in documentation review and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies.
• Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing excellent customer service while managing appointment requests and answering patient inquiries.
• Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure proper documentation of care plans.
• Support clinic operations by managing electronic health records (EHR) management, dental coding, and billing processes .

Experience

• Prior experience in a dental office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining clinical confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Experience with medical terminology, health information management, and office administrative support is essential for success in this role.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
