Duties

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in
• Schedule appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and patient flow
• Verify patient insurance coverage and prior authorization status
• Handle phone communications with professionalism, providing clear information on appointment times, billing inquiries, and health insurance questions
• Maintain accurate records while adhering to HIPPA

Experience

• Proven experience working in a dental office environment with strong clerical skills
• Familiarity with Dentrix is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dental insurance terminology and processes are required
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person
• Proficiency in Google applications including google docs and google sheets
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry
