Join our dynamic dental team as a Terre Haute EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary) and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! As an energetic and detail-oriented EFDA, you will assist the dentist during various procedures, perform expanded functions to enhance treatment efficiency, and ensure a smooth, positive experience for every patient. Your expertise will help us provide top-quality dental services while fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages patient trust and satisfaction. Our office is open Thursdays-Sundays 8a-630pm depending on patient need sometimes as late as 8pm.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorations, same day crowns, and other advanced treatments
• Perform expanded functions such as placing fillings, polishing restorations, and taking impressions under supervision
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of infection control
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral health practices to promote long-term wellness
• Manage patient records accurately, including documenting procedures and updating treatment plans
• Ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance needs promptly
• Support the team with administrative tasks as needed to keep the clinic running efficiently

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) or equivalent certification
• Proven experience assisting with restorative and preventive dental procedures
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and comfort patients effectively
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and clinic needs

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
