We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team part time on Fridays from 8-12. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional cleanings and educating patients on oral health. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
• Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Maintain a sterile environment through strict infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper sterilization of instruments.

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care for pediatric patients in a friendly manner.
• Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs in general dentistry settings.
