Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease.
• Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental concerns.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring proper safety protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
• Valid BLS
• Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in dental care patient education and clinical procedures.
• Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for documentation review.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of infection control standards, healthcare infection prevention, and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and patient education.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
