Your Role

As a Dental Hygienist at Bayview Dental, you will provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal care while developing long-term relationships with our patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive dental hygiene examinations and treatment
• Prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance
• Scaling and root planing as indicated
• Taking and reviewing appropriate radiographs
• Providing oral hygiene instruction and individualized patient education
• Identifying periodontal and restorative concerns and communicating findings with the dentist
• Documenting treatment accurately in the patient record
• Educating patients about preventive care and maintaining optimal oral health
• Helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental care

We are looking for a hygienist who:

• Holds an active Maine Dental Hygiene license
• Is dependable, professional, and team-oriented
• Provides thorough, patient-centered care
• Enjoys educating patients and building genuine relationships
• Communicates effectively with patients and coworkers
• Is comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team
• Takes pride in maintaining a high standard of clinical care
• Is motivated to continue learning and growing professionally

Experienced hygienists are preferred, but we are open to speaking with exceptional new graduates as well.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
