Insurance and Billing Coordinator- Dental Practice

The Role

We're bringing our billing and insurance verification in-house and are looking for an experienced Insurance & Billing Coordinator to own it. This is a key position — you'll be the person who keeps our revenue cycle clean, our claims paid, and our patients clear on their benefits.

Responsibilities

- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; prepare accurate breakdowns and patient cost estimates

- Submit clean claims daily and track them through to payment

- Work denials and appeals; keep aging and days in A/R low

- Post insurance and patient payments accurately

- Follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding patient balances by phone and email

- Coordinate with our treatment coordinator on treatment plans and financial arrangements

- Answer phones and support the front desk during busy periods

- Keep patient financial records accurate and up to date

Requirements

- 2+ years of dental front-office insurance/billing experience (required — this is not an entry-level role)

- Working knowledge of CDT codes and major dental PPO plans

- Hands-on experience submitting claims through a clearinghouse and working denials/appeals

- Strong attention to detail and follow-through

- Reliable and consistent attendance — non-negotiable

- Professional, friendly communication with patients about money

Preferred

- Experience with Eaglesoft (our practice management software)

- Experience with implant and full-arch case billing

- Bilingual English/Spanish
