Experienced Dental Assistant – Private Endodontic Specialty Practice

Previous dental assisting or clinical dental experience is strongly preferred. Previous endodontic experience is a plus, but is not required. We are happy to provide training in endodontic procedures, CBCT/3D imaging, and the specific clinical workflows used in our specialty practice.

What You'll Do

As a chairside dental assistant, you will work closely with our Endodontists and clinical team to provide outstanding clinical care and exceptional patient experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing treatment rooms for patient care and turning rooms over between patients.
• Assisting the Endodontist during procedures using four-handed dentistry, including instrument transfer, suction, and maintaining a clear operating field.
• Taking intraoral radiographs and three-dimensional/CBCT images. Training on our specific equipment will be provided.
• Assisting with clinical documentation in our electronic health record.
• Processing and sterilizing dental instruments and maintaining proper infection-control and aseptic protocols.
• Educating patients about procedures and pre- and post-treatment instructions using clear, reassuring language.
• Helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit.
• Working collaboratively with doctors, assistants, and front-office team members to keep patient care running smoothly.
• Helping maintain a clean, organized, well-prepared clinical environment.

What We're Looking For

We would especially like to meet candidates who have:

• Previous experience as a dental assistant in a clinical dental setting.
• Experience with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Familiarity with dental radiography and standard dental equipment.
• An understanding of instrument processing, sterilization, aseptic technique, and infection-control procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and grow within an endodontic specialty practice.
• Dental assisting certification or equivalent training is preferred.

Endodontic experience is welcomed, but it is not required.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
