Shore Smiles Dental Arts, the private dental practice of Dr. Grantham, is looking for an experienced, dependable, and friendly Dental Assistant to join our team.
We have been caring for patients in the Waretown area for many years and have an established practice with experienced team members, organized systems, and a strong focus on providing excellent patient care.
We are looking for someone who is more than simply good at the technical side of dental assisting. We want someone who cares about our patients, cares about doing a great job, and brings a positive attitude to the office every day.
The right person is knowledgeable, organized, personable, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a team. You should take pride in keeping the clinical day running smoothly while helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for.
Schedule
This is a consistent position with the following schedule:
- Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- One Saturday per month: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
What We're Looking For
Our ideal Dental Assistant:
Has previous dental assisting experience- Is knowledgeable and confident in the clinical setting
- Is reliable and arrives ready to work
- Has a warm, friendly, and professional personality
- Genuinely cares about patients and their experience
- Takes pride in doing things correctly and thoroughly
- Works well with the doctor and other team members
- Is organized and able to keep the clinical schedule moving efficiently
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to help wherever needed
- Communicates well with both patients and coworkers
- Understands the importance of cleanliness, preparation, sterilization, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
Chairside assisting during general dental procedures- Preparing treatment rooms and patients for procedures
- Taking dental radiographs as permitted
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining proper infection-control protocols
- Turning over and stocking treatment rooms
- Reviewing procedures and post-operative instructions with patients
- Helping maintain accurate clinical records
- Coordinating with the doctor and front office to keep the day running smoothly
- Helping create a welcoming and comfortable experience for every patient
