Experienced Dental Assistant – Brooks Family Dental, Reno, NV

Brooks Family Dental is looking for an experienced, patient-focused dental assistant to join our team. We are a family owned practice and we are a fee-for-service practice, so our days are built around caring for patients rather than working through insurance requirements. As a small, close-knit office, we all pitch in wherever we're needed, so this role includes front desk work alongside chairside assisting. The schedule
Full-time, 4 days a week. We rotate every other Monday and every other Friday off, so you'll alternate between 2-day and 4-day weekends all year long.

Our team arrives at 6:30 AM to prep for the day, and morning huddle starts promptly at 6:50 AM. Patient hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and Fridays typically wrap up at 3:00 PM. Punctuality matters to us, so this is a great fit for an early riser.

What you'll do

• Assist the dentists chairside with a range of general and restorative procedures
• Take digital radiographs and intraoral scans
• Prepare and turn over operatories, and keep sterilization and infection control up to standard
• Help at the front desk as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out
• Pitch in on whatever the day calls for, because on our team everyone helps everyone

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of dental assisting experience
• Experience with Dentrix preferred
• Comfort with digital scanners, or a willingness to learn
• A dependable, punctual, team-first attitude and clear, friendly communication with patients

Pay and benefits

• Starting at $25/hr, depending on experience
