Dental Treatment Coordinator

The Treatment Coordinator's responsibilities include:

Managing the patient experience

• Help patients understand their treatment plans, the benefits of treatment, and insurance coverage. Help patients afford dental care by discussing financial options and payment plans.

Communicating with patients and staff

• Act as a liaison between patients, doctors, and other clinic staff. Communicate patient needs and questions to the dentist and staff, and notify clinical staff of schedule changes.

Scheduling and managing appointments

• Schedule patient appointments, reschedule missed appointments, and call patients who have not completed treatment.

Managing paperwork

• Handle all treatment paperwork, including consent forms, policy forms, and exit paperwork.
• Submit paperwork to insurance providers

Must have at least 3 years working in a dental office as a treatment coordinator. Also must have very good communication skills, knowledge of financial management, and a comprehensive understanding of various dental treatments and procedures.
