What You'll Do

As a Dental Hygienist, you'll provide high-quality clinical care while building relationships with patients and helping shape the patient experience we're creating.

Your responsibilities will include:

● Providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, including medical and dental history review, charting, intraoral images, radiographs, prophylaxis, sealants, periodontal and root planning, periodontal maintenance, and oral hygiene/post-operative instruction

● Taking the time to educate patients and help them understand their oral health and treatment needs in a comforting, supportive manner.

● Maintaining accurate and timely patient records

● Maintaining a clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment room

● Assisting with sterilization and other practice needs when time allows

● Following all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and practice protocols related to dental hygiene

● Communicating openly and respectfully with dentists, assistants, front office staff, and other team members

● Contributing to a positive team environment where people are willing to help one another

● Sharing ideas and identifying opportunities to improve the way we serve patients and support one another through teamwork and shaping our culture

Schedule

0.6 FTE — Benefit Eligible

● Tuesday: 7:45 AM – 12:30 PM; 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM

● Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 12:30 PM; 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM

● Friday: 7:45 AM – 12:30 PM; 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM

● One-hour lunch each scheduled day

● Office is closed Monday and Thursday

Compensation & Benefits

$38–$45/hour + Profit Sharing

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings clinical competence, professionalism, and a genuine interest in people

Required:

● Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program

● Current and active Iowa Dental Hygiene license

● Current CPR and AED certification

● Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills

● Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Preferred :

● Experience with dental practice software, especially XL Dent

● Previous experience working in a team-oriented general dentistry practice
