Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are looking for a part time dental hygienist. We have two full time doctors, former instructors at the University of Michigan, and 9 other wonderful team members! The practice is chartless, utilizes Dentrix and Dexis digital radiographs, uses digital impressions, and is a great mix of small town dentistry with up-to-date amenities. Pay rate is effected by bonuses earned. We provide quarterly collections bonuses based off of salary, and per diem bonuses for same day bite splints and fluoride treatments. We are in need of a hygienist that wants to work in a great environment and become part of an awesome team!

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Use a digital scanner to take "Wellness Scans" of patients to help document and tack their dental health.
• Conduct periodontal assessments and document findings accurately in patient records.
• Assist in the management of infection control procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical coding as necessary.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, patient records, and documentation.
• Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.

Qualifications

• Valid dental hygienist license
• Proficiency in chairside assisting and patient care
• Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records
• Experience with pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry
• Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
• Ability to perform patient assessments and document vital signs

Pay: $44.00 - $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 15.0 per week
