Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure optimal oral health for our patients.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
• Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and performing medical imaging as needed.
• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in collaboration with the dentist.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote overall health.
• Utilize EMR systems effectively to document patient interactions and treatment plans.
• Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in general dentistry practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in four-handed dentistry being a plus.
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft software is advantageous for efficient practice management.
• Proficiency in medical coding and understanding of medical terminology will enhance patient care delivery.
• Strong anatomy knowledge is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment planning.
