Position Details

• Pay: $23-27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications; up to $30/hour for an exceptional candidate
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
• Hours: Approximately 32–36 hours per week
• Workweek: No routine Friday shifts; no evenings or weekends
• Employment: Permanent position; full-time classification
• Benefits: Paid time off, paid holidays, and employee discounts. Health insurance and 401(k) benefits are planned additions as the practice continues to grow.
• Training: Hands-on training and mentorship from our experienced admin and clinical team. No prior dental experience required.

Qualifications

• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy

• The ability to learn new computer systems, processes, and technical information

Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare, or office administration is welcome. Dental experience and familiarity with Open Dental practice management software are advantageous, but neither is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and referring dental offices, both in person and over the phone
• Schedule appointments and help maintain an organized, efficient daily schedule
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients about treatment recommendations, scheduling, and next steps
• Learn to verify dental insurance benefits and explain coverage and financial responsibility
• Assist with insurance claims, payment processing, and patient financial coordination
• Coordinate referrals and help maintain strong relationships with referring dental offices
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Open Dental
• Anticipate the needs of the team and help keep daily operations running smoothly
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the practice and contribute wherever needed to support the team
