Naturally You Dentistry is a small, privately owned dental practice in Battle Creek looking for the right person to become an important part of our team.

We practice dentistry a little differently.

Our approach blends excellent conventional dentistry with biological, holistic, functional, and minimally invasive principles. We believe oral health is connected to whole-body health, patients deserve to understand their options, and healthcare should respect each person's values and autonomy.

We are also intentional about creating a workplace where people can have meaningful careers without work consuming their lives.

Our regular patient schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, with team hours generally around 7:30 AM–2:30 PM. For someone raising a family, this can be a wonderful schedule: working largely while children are in school and still having time for the parts of life that matter.

We understand that sometimes the kindergarten clap-out, winter program, awards ceremony, doctor's appointment, or important family moment happens during the workday. We want people who are deeply committed to their work—and we also recognize that our employees are whole people with families and lives outside the practice.

On rare occasions, team members may be asked to help outside our normal schedule for an urgent patient need or special circumstance. This is uncommon—typically only a few times per year—but flexibility when something truly needs our attention is part of being a small, patient-centered practice.

Every member of Naturally You is cross-trained. Some team members may primarily work chairside and others may primarily work with patients at the front desk, but everyone learns how the practice functions as a whole and is willing to step in where needed.

That means the person we're looking for can become comfortable both assisting clinically and caring for patients administratively—answering a phone with warmth, helping a nervous patient feel safe, supporting a teammate, solving a problem, keeping the office moving, or simply noticing something that needs attention and taking care of it.

Our responsibilities are broad because this is a small private practice. We would rather describe the kind of person who succeeds here than give you an exhaustive list of tasks.

Our approach to dentistry matters.

Naturally You isn't simply the name of our practice—it reflects how we believe healthcare should work.

We provide comprehensive general dentistry while incorporating biological, holistic and whole-body principles. Our philosophy emphasizes prevention, education, patient autonomy, biocompatibility, thoughtful material choices, and using the safest and least-invasive treatment options appropriate for each individual patient.

Our practice incorporates advanced technology and techniques including laser dentistry, digital dentistry, ozone therapy, SMART-certified amalgam removal, airway and oral-function evaluation, myofunctional therapy, frenectomies, orthodontics and other biological and integrative approaches to care.

We also care deeply about how patients experience dentistry. Some of our patients have dental anxiety, sensory sensitivities, previous negative dental experiences, or simply want a provider who will listen before telling them what they “should” do.

We want our patients to feel heard, educated and empowered to make their own healthcare decisions.

For this reason, we're especially interested in someone who genuinely appreciates a blended approach to healthcare—someone who understands that conventional medicine and dentistry have tremendous value while also being curious about biological, holistic and functional approaches to health.

You don't need to arrive knowing everything we know.

You do need to be interested in learning.

Experience

Dental experience is valuable, but character, reliability and attitude matter tremendously to us.

Previous dental assisting, front-office, customer-service, healthcare or administrative experience may all be beneficial.

Because our entire team is cross-trained, you will learn both the clinical and administrative sides of our practice regardless of where your primary role ultimately develops.

We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and become genuinely valuable to the practice over time.

About Dr. Javana & Naturally You Dentistry

Dr. Javana Rae is a University of Michigan-trained general dentist who believes dentistry should contribute to the health and well-being of the whole person.

She has pursued extensive continuing education in biological dentistry, advanced technology, laser dentistry, oral restrictions, orthodontics and other integrative approaches to care.

Naturally You Dentistry continues to evolve as we learn, incorporate new technology, and find better ways to care for our patients.
