Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Join our dental care team as a Dental Assistant and help patients feel informed and comfortable throughout their visits. You’ll support general dentistry and specialty procedures, prepare treatment areas, and keep accurate records while following infection prevention and confidentiality requirements. Your impact: By preparing instruments and assisting chairside, you help clinicians deliver organized care and patients move through appointments with confidence.

Duties

• Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
• Prepare and maintain dental equipment; process instruments using dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection control practices.
• Take dental X-rays and support other medical imaging tasks as authorized; record vital signs when needed.
• Update medical records and medical documentation in patient management software, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and practice platforms such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Support patient management and dental receptionist tasks, including appointment flow and clear communication.

Skills

• Dental assisting or dental clinic experience; patient care skills and knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy.
• Familiarity with dental instruments, equipment, X-ray procedures, and 3D scanners.
• Understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, clinical confidentiality policies, and healthcare infection prevention and control.
• Experience with EMR systems, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other patient management software is useful.
• Ability to follow infection prevention management practices and maintain accurate, confidential medical records.

Pay: $26.61 - $32.05 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
