[Position Overview]

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Dental Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic clinical team.

The ideal candidate is confident, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment. You should be able to anticipate the doctor's needs, stay organized during procedures, and provide patients with a calm and positive experience.

Surgical assisting experience is strongly preferred. Experience in a periodontal or oral surgery practice is a plus.

[Responsibilities]

• Assist doctors during periodontal, implant, and other dental surgical procedures
• Anticipate the doctor's needs during surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain surgical operatories and instruments
• Follow proper sterilization and infection-control protocols
• Take and maintain dental records and clinical documentation
• Provide patients with a comfortable and reassuring experience before, during, and after treatment
• Maintain efficient clinical flow and help keep the doctor on schedule
• Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, and front-office staff
• Follow HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment

[Qualifications]

• Prior dental assisting experience required
• Surgical assisting experience strongly preferred
• Periodontal or oral surgery experience is a plus
• Knowledge of basic dental procedures and terminology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
