Gentle Dentistry is a multi-generational private dental practice serving Bergen County since 1961. Our doctors

provide comprehensive restorative, cosmetic, implant, periodontal, laser, same-day, and minimally invasive

dentistry using advanced digital technology. We’re looking for a dental assistant who genuinely likes people, takes

pride in doing things well, and wants to become significantly more skilled—not someone who simply wants to

suction, turn over rooms, and wait to be told what to do.

What You’ll Do

 Provide excellent four-handed chairside support while anticipating what the doctor and patient need next.

 Create a warm, comfortable patient experience from seating through dismissal.

 Prepare and turn over operatories efficiently while maintaining excellent sterilization and infection-control

standards.

 Work with digital X-rays, iTero scanning, digital photography, 3D CBCT, Overjet AI-assisted visualization,

CAD/CAM same-day dentistry, and other advanced clinical technology.

 Assist with restorative, cosmetic, implant, periodontal, laser, orthodontic, and oral-surgery procedures as

trained and appropriate.

 Participate in our front desk-less workflow by helping schedule routine next treatment, supporting digital

checkout, providing clear instructions, and making sure patients know what happens next.

What You’ll Need

 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.

 Strong customer-service and patient-communication skills.

 Dependability and excellent attendance.

 Strong organization and attention to detail.

 Ability to anticipate rather than wait for every instruction.

 Comfort working in a fast-moving clinical environment.

 Willingness to learn new technology, procedures, and systems.

 A positive, team-oriented attitude.

 Pride in maintaining a clean, organized, well-prepared clinical environment.

Nice to Haves

 New Jersey dental X-ray/radiography license strongly preferred.

 iTero or other digital scanning experience.

 Digital photography or CBCT experience.

 CAD/CAM experience.

 Implant or oral-surgery assisting experience.

 Cosmetic, laser, periodontal, or multi-specialty dental experience.

 Eaglesoft experience.

You don’t need experience with everything we do.

We’re much more interested in someone who wants to learn.
