Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and accurate.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans to promote ongoing dental wellness.
• Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients when necessary, especially in pediatric or medically compromised cases.
• Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.
• Maintain a sterile environment through aseptic techniques and proper infection control procedures in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with the team using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in dental technology such as medical imaging tools and 3D scanners to enhance diagnostic accuracy.

Skills

• Proficiency with dental systems for managing patient records and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
• Experience with X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to comfortably assist young patients.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising between patients, dentists, and administrative staff.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions for medical coding and documentation accurately.

Pay: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour
