Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient care.
Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology, ensuring accuracy and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA and infection prevention protocols.
Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, maintaining strict confidentiality according to clinical confidentiality policies.
Provide excellent patient management by greeting patients, explaining procedures, and assisting with their comfort throughout visits.
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and reduce procedure time.

Experience
Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general practice is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and medical imaging techniques such as X-ray and 3D scanner use is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures ensures compliance with healthcare standards.
Proficiency with patient management software like Dentrix enhances workflow efficiency and record accuracy.
Understanding of dental anatomy, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty areas supports comprehensive patient care delivery.
Strong communication skills combined with a professional attitude are essential for effective team collaboration and exceptional patient service.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
