Part-time dental assistant

John E. Boyles, DDS in Staunton, Virginia, is looking for a friendly and compassionate part-time dental assistant to join our team.

Job overview

Position: Dental assistant, part-time

Schedule: Three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the potential to add Tuesdays in the future.

Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

· Assist Dr. Boyles chairside during restorative, cosmetic, and general dental procedures.

· Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms according to safety standards.

· Take digital dental radiographs and assist with patient charting in EagleSoft.

· Welcome patients, help manage their comfort in the dental chair, and review post-operative care instructions.

Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Current CPR certification and valid Virginia radiology credentials, or willingness to obtain them.

· Experience with EagleSoft dental software is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and a warm, patient-first demeanor.
