Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring all dental instruments are properly sterilized and processed according to infection prevention management protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology while maintaining strict adherence to dental x-ray safety standards.
Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy.
Support dental reception duties by managing patient management software, scheduling appointments, and coordinating patient flow efficiently.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dental equipment, sterilization areas, and clinical supplies in accordance with infection control standards.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting duties is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures related to general dentistry and specialized fields such as endodontics or prosthodontics.
Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilization tools, and other dental instruments.
Experience using EMR systems like Dentrix for accurate documentation and patient record management.
Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to follow clinical confidentiality policies strictly while managing sensitive medical documentation.

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
