Dental Assistant

We are looking for a person interested in a long-term, team-oriented office. This person should be a self- starter that utilizes professional judgement and clinical decision-making skills. Qualified persons must be organized and be proficient with technology.

Our office provides a wide array of services including, routine hygiene care and gum treatments, aesthetic fillings, crown and bridge and implants restorations, full and partial dentures, extractions. We are willing to enhance your training in the procedures you are not acquainted with.

Job Requirements:

• Complies with OSHA regulation and CDC and American Dental Association recommendations for infection control.
• Prioritizes workload and schedules patients.
• Prepares and arranges dental instruments, equipment, and accessories.
• Sterilizes and cares for dental instruments; keeps enough dental supplies available.
• Keeps dental records of patients; assists dentist at the chair; keeps the dental office and equipment neat, clean, and sanitary.
• Takes and develops dental x-rays; performs dental laboratory functions; instructs patients in proper practices of preventive dental care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Academic training/experience as a dental assistant.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and schedule patients.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of dental terminology.
• Experience in four handed dentistry.
• Radiation Health and Safety Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Dental Assistant by Dental Assisting National Board.
• Prefer proficient computer skills.
• Possesses current AHA CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to monitor patient vital signs in a medical setting.

Hours :Currently

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-60 min lunch break.

With the possibility on adding Tuesday as needed.
