Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Join our dental team as a Dental Assistant and support dentists in providing efficient, high-quality patient care. You’ll assist with procedures, manage patient flow, maintain infection control standards, and help create a welcoming patient experience. This role offers opportunities to gain experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more.

Duties

• Assist dentists chairside with restorative, endodontic, oral surgery, and prosthodontic procedures.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
• Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while following safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Record vital signs and medical histories.
• Explain procedures, answer questions, and help patients feel comfortable.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.
• Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and reception duties as needed.
• Prepare for oral surgery and prosthodontic procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous dental clinic experience preferred.
• Experience with chairside and four-handed dentistry is a plus.
• Proficiency with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar EMR systems.
• Knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with dental X-ray equipment, 3D scanners, and sterilization equipment.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
• Excellent communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality and patient safety.
