Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures,
• Take X-ray images using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques and infection control policies; process dental instruments efficiently for reuse.
• Support chairside assisting by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and providing comfort to patients throughout their visit.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection prevention policies and dental sterilization procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow, manage appointment schedules as a Dental Receptionist when needed, and provide excellent patient care from check-in to check-out.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilizers, and other dental tools with precision.
• Expertise in infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection control.
• Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases.
• Knowledge of healthcare infection control practices specific to dental clinics and experience in medical documentation standards.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 7:30-5pm

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
