Dental Assistant

Overview

We are a small private general fee for service practice seeking a Lead Dental Assistant. The Lead Dental Assistant role is managing back office and chairside assisting our Dentist. Our position is part-time 20-40 hrs per week and must be flexible with hours.

Office hours:

Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm (one week)

Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (one week)

Responsibilities

• Assist our Dentist during all procedures.
• Being proficient in taking EXCELLENT x-rays including intraoral images ensuring accuracy while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Manage patient records using Dentrix, updating medical documentation, and vital signs with precision.
• Provide patient care by making our patients feel comfort throughout visits.
• Adhere strictly to healthcare infection prevention protocols, including dental sterilization procedures and dental equipment maintenance to uphold the highest standards of safety.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE: updated current 1) 8 HOUR Infection control certificate 2) BLS/CPR 3) OSHA 4)X-RAY Certificate 5)Dental Assistant Certificate 6) Coronal polish certificate
• Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental sterilization procedures.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
