Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented full-time Biller Receptionist to join our dental practice. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with medical billing and coding tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate insurance processing. Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Collect payments, verify insurance coverage, and explain billing procedures clearly to patients
• Prepare and submit dental insurance claims accurately using billing software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
• Review and code procedures using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes to ensure proper reimbursement
• Follow up on outstanding medical claims, handle denials, and perform collections to optimize revenue flow
• Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations regarding patient information privacy
• Collaborate with the dental team to resolve billing discrepancies and answer patient inquiries related to insurance or payments

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical billing, coding (including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and healthcare claims management within a dental or medical office setting
• Strong knowledge of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare claims processing tools
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex billing information clearly and professionally
• Familiarity with medical coding standards such as ICD coding systems and DRG classifications is highly desirable
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in all tasks
• Prior experience working with dental billing processes is preferred but not required
