Associate General Dentist needed for Maternity Leave

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Associate General Dentist to join our team on a temporary basis for maternity leave coverage during December and January. If this person is available for emergency work in November and February based on the health of Dr. Skoulas, that would be helpful but not necessary. This energetic role involves delivering comprehensive dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Dr. Skoulas is due Dec 17th, so she may be at the office for a majority of December to help and will hopefully return prior to the end of January but this is a guaranteed position for the entirety of those two months. We are closed in December for the holidays from Dec 21st to Jan 1st. Therefore, only open the first three weeks of December.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general dentistry services, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for diverse patient needs.
• Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, hygiene check/recares, invisalign progress checks, as well as invisalign consults or cosmetic consults .
• Utilize dental software systems like Dentrix ascend, Dexis, and SLR photography.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient flow and treatment outcomes.
• Stay updated on state healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and current dental terminology to provide compliant and informed care.

Requirements

• Valid dental license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
• Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, invisalign proficiency.
• Experience performing general check ups, comprehensive exams, fillings, crown and bridge, invisalign, veneers. Knowledge of implant placement but will not necessarily place implants - just to diagnose.
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and assessment.
• Knowledge of infection control standards, medical imaging techniques, and aseptic procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality standards.
