The Opportunity

Dentex Strategies is partnering with an established, multi-location dental group in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas to recruit an experienced Associate General Dentist for a full-time opportunity in the McAllen/Edinburg area.

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated, clinically confident dentist looking to step into an established patient base, maintain autonomy over treatment planning, and build a long-term career within a supportive, patient-focused dental organization.

The incoming associate will replace a departing provider, allowing for an established patient base and immediate clinical opportunity rather than building a schedule from the ground up.

Position Responsibilities

The Associate General Dentist will provide comprehensive general dentistry services while maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient satisfaction.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
• Deliver restorative, preventive, and general dentistry procedures
• Perform endodontic procedures within the provider's clinical competency
• Educate patients on oral health, treatment recommendations, and preventive care
• Work collaboratively with hygienists, dental assistants, and treatment coordinators
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and appropriate standards of care
• Build patient trust through clear communication and professional treatment recommendations
• Support efficient clinical operations while maintaining quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Active Texas dental license in good standing by the start date
• Minimum 2 years of general dentistry experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive general dentistry
• Strong diagnostic and treatment-planning capabilities
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor, clinical judgment, and collaborative mindset
• Ability to independently manage an established patient schedule

This opportunity is intended for experienced providers and is not open to new dental graduates.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Strong endodontic clinical skills
• Experience working in a high-volume general dentistry environment
• Proven ability to develop patient relationships and maintain treatment acceptance

Compensation & Earnings Potential

The practice offers a production-oriented compensation structure designed to reward clinical performance.

• Daily Advance: $800–$1,300 against future collections
• Collections Compensation: 35% of collections
• Laboratory Fees: Associate responsible for 50% of lab fees
• Typical Annual Earnings: Approximately $200,000–$225,000
• High-Producer Earnings: Potential to exceed $350,000 annually
• Sign-On Bonus: Potentially available
• Relocation Assistance: Potentially available

The daily advance is applied against future collections compensation and should not be interpreted as an additional guaranteed payment. Actual earnings depend on individual production, collections, applicable laboratory expenses, and the final agreement.

Schedule & Engagement Structure

Employment Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Location: McAllen / Edinburg, Texas
Anticipated Start: As Soon As Possible

The position does not currently include employer-provided malpractice insurance or equity participation. Candidates should be prepared to discuss professional liability coverage and independent-contractor arrangements during the interview process.
