Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
• Utilize advanced dental software like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Use medical imaging tools effectively to diagnose dental conditions and plan appropriate treatments.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and preventive care to promote long-term wellness.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.

Skills

• Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics is a plus for treating younger patients effectively.
• Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate treatment plans clearly.
• Deep understanding of infection control standards and sterilization techniques to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Familiarity with medical imaging technology and the ability to interpret results for accurate diagnoses.
