Dental Assistant/ RDA

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to assist on 2 full days: 11/5/26 (Thurs) and 12/17/26 (Thurs). Hours are 8:45am - 5:15pm with a lunch break from 12-1pm. More days may be requested in the future.

We are a small general practice in Cupertino with an awesome team and family-oriented patient base. We are looking for someone that shares the belief that close patient relationships along with an emphasis on cultivating a great team atmosphere are the foundations of a successful dental practice. Prior dental assisting experience and x-ray certification is required.

A Dental Assistant is a crucial member of the dental team providing chairside assistance to the dentist during various procedures. They work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and assist the dentist in providing high-quality dental care. One of the key responsibilities of a Dental Assistant is taking intraoral x-rays, which help the dentist diagnose dental issues accurately. In addition to assisting with procedures, Dental Assistants play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment by sterilizing equipment and instruments. They often interact with patients, educate them on proper oral hygiene practices, and address any questions or concerns they may have. Dental Assistants should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate demeanor to ensure patients feel at ease. This role requires the ability to multitask efficiently, prioritize patient care, and work collaboratively with the dental team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take dental X-rays
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant or RDA certification
• Willingness to learn and be trained on the job
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Reliable and detail-oriented
