Orthodontic Assistant

Job Summary

We are a private enthusiastic orthodontic practice that focuses on high quality orthodontics and customer care. We are looking to hire a Registered Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant. Skill set will include but is not limited to: taking diagnostic records (photos and radiographs), experience with fixed appliances, aligner therapy, and retainers, reviewing oral hygiene protocols, use of an intraoral scanner, and sterilization of instruments. Duties

• Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments are sterile and ready for use.
• Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Perform basic administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques to provide high-quality assistance.
• Assist in processing insurance claims, verifying coverage, and collecting payments.
• Assist practice with marketing tasks
• Assist with creating content for social media

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: TBD, determined by experience
