Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Hygienist to provide essential preventive dental care and education to patients. This role is responsible for performing professional dental cleanings, examining patients for signs of oral diseases, and recording and reviewing patient medical histories. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to promoting optimal oral health and ensuring a comfortable patient experience.

Shift(s): Interest and flexibility with covering other shifts per diem is welcomed and encouraged.

• Monday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
• Wednesday - flexible part time hours
• Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and debridement procedures.
• Screen patients and assess oral health conditions, communicating findings to the dentist.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) of high diagnostic quality.
• Apply fluoride and sealants and provide preventative care instruction.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Document dental care services and maintain accurate patient records.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
• Current MA Dental Hygienist license.
• Certification in laser dentistry used as adjunct therapy is required, and will be provided by the Practice.
• Proficiency in Dentrix is preferred.
• Proficiency in using dental instruments and technology.
• Excellent communication in a high volume environment.
