Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our fast-paced and patient-focused dental practice. The ideal candidate will be proficient in chairside assisting, patient care, and knowledgeable in using dental software. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient clinic operations and delivering outstanding service to our patients.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
• Utilize medical imaging systems to capture diagnostic images as needed (Dentrix Ascend a plus).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.
• Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Proficient in four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
• Familiarity with medical imaging systems and procedures.
• Ability to assess vital signs and document findings accurately.
• Experience in documentation review within a dental clinic setting is advantageous.
• Understanding of both dental terminology and general medical terminology is essential for effective communication.
