Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
• Assist dentists during various procedures through chairside support, including handling dental instruments and managing dental equipment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Follow infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing instruments, and managing infection control measures effectively.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional licensing boards.
• Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with proficiency in pediatric dentistry procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and record management.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental equipment operation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients clearly and compassionately.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques and chairside assisting is highly desirable.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and practicing infection control standards diligently.

Pay: $42.00 - $46.00 per hour
