Job Summary

As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a key role in preventive care, patient education, and periodontal therapy. You will work alongside a supportive team of doctors and assistants in a well-equipped office utilizing modern digital technology (including digital radiography, intraoral scanning, CBCT, and electronic health records).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling & root planing (SRP).
• Conduct comprehensive oral evaluations, including periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and review of medical history.
• Take high-quality digital dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral scans as needed.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and personalized treatment plans.
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (as certified and permissible by Indiana state guidelines).
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical notes and patient records in practice management software (Open Dental).
• Adhere strictly to OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
• Partner with the doctor to co-diagnose restorative and periodontal needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & License: Active Indiana Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing.
• Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification; Local Anesthesia permit required (or in progress).
• Experience: Experience preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply!
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with digital chart management (Open Dental experience is a plus) and modern clinical equipment.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal communication, warm chairside manner, and a strong work ethic.

Schedule

• [Tuesday and Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM]
• [Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Optional/Rotating)]
• No weekends or major holiday hours.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 23.0 per week
