Registered Dental Hygienist

Our team is interested in welcoming an upbeat and highly-motivated individual to assist in delivering the hygiene care of our patients.

Mondays and Tuesdays needed.

About us

Our office is in a quiet courtyard garden tucked away in downtown Santa Barbara and maintains a collective 50+ years of goodwill with many patients having been with the practice for decades. We are a fee-for-service practice that accepts dental benefit plans for payment as an out-of-network provider. Together, our small, cohesive team collaborates daily in an effort to deliver an exceptional dental experience for our patients.

The ideal candidate should exhibit:
- A warm and inviting personality
- Be hard-working with a team-focused approach to care
- Strong interpersonal communication with co-workers/colleagues and patients
- High competency with computers and experience with dental patient management software (we use Dentrix)
- A strong ability to multitask with effective time management skills

- Use of dental loupes required.

Responsibilities to include:
- Perform and maintain dental hygiene needs for patients of the practice
- Maintain accurate patient records with efficiency
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia as needed (we do not offer nitrous)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Assist the dentist during procedures as needed

- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Follow HIPAA Guidelines.
- Must have an active, valid dental hygiene license in the state of California.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $67.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 per week
