Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining safety protocols
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems , Dentrix accurately and efficiently
• Maintain strict infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of dental instruments
• Review medical and dental records for documentation accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Support general dentistry procedures by providing patient care that emphasizes comfort and understanding
• Ensure all dental equipment is functioning correctly and report any maintenance needs promptly

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state requirements
• Proven experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs
• Knowledge of infection control standards, healthcare privacy laws (HIPAA), and medical coding practices
• Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing compassionate care in accordance with healthcare regulations

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
