Registered Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs.
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
• Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Proficiency with dental software systems
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental care topics.

Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
