Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Full Time of Part Time
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at an orthodontic office.

Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist
- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment

- Sterilize tools, accessories, and equipment
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Manage medical records and documentation accurately
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Maintain proper inventory of supplies and equipment

- Administrative duties as needed

Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or relevant role.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Proficiency in X-Ray procedures
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical records management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program is preferred
