Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Operate digital imaging systems such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to support accurate diagnoses.
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to ensure precise documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans.
• Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures.
• Support administrative tasks such as dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information.
• Maintain clinical supplies inventory and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols.
• Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics.
• Experience with chairside assisting techniques in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments.
• Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety.
• Knowledge of medical coding and medical records management for comprehensive documentation.
• Skilled in using digital tools like 3D scanners for advanced diagnostic purposes.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
