Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, providing four-handed dentistry support for efficiency
• Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety protocols
• Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records using patient management software like Carestack, and verifying patient information for accuracy
• Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures while demonstrating excellent patient care skills
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies by securely handling medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as answering the phone as a dental receptionist, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating treatment plans

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in accordance with state regulations
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and procedures
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and patient information
• Strong understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic technique
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and oral surgery procedures is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
