Registered Dental Assistant for Orthodontic Office

Please note that at this time we are only accepting applications from dental assistants who are certified (RDA) within New York State. Proof of NYS RDA certification will be required.

We are looking for a NYS Registered Dental Assistant to join our state of the art orthodontic practice on the Upper West Side, 4 days per week. We are conveniently located just steps away from the subway and bus stops.

The position is on average 24-40 hours hours per week (no weekends). Usual hours are 9:00/9:30am-close (5-6pm). Hourly wage will be commensurate with experience.

Applicants should be dependable, hard-working, and friendly with patients and their parents. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years experience working as an orthodontic assistant and can perform the following:

Take Pan and Ceph radiographs.

Take intra- and extra- oral photographs.

Scan patients with an Itero Element scanner.

Prepare patients for bonding brackets.

Place and remove wires.

Tie and untie ligature ties.

Review instructions with patients.

Use iTero scanner.

Take good alginate impressions.

Pour up good stone models.

Trim models.

Make Essix retainers.

Of course, all other aspects of being a dental assistant as well- clean and sterilize instruments, proper infection control, etc.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
