Registered Dental Assistant

Join our dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Your approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.

Duties

• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics and orthodontics.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for use in accordance with infection prevention management protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays using 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards.
• Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and providing compassionate support throughout their visit.
• Maintain clinical cleanliness by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records efficiently.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform dental assisting duties efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
• Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in accordance with state or regional regulations.
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as OpenDental (not required)
• Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
• Hands-on experience with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and sterilization tools.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices, including infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, patients, and team members in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
