Pediatric Dental Assistant

City Beautiful Pediatric Dentistry, Orlando, FL (SoDo District) is excited to expand our clinical team as our practice continues to grow! We are looking to add an additional reliable and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our clinical team.

This position offers flexibility for either two or three days per week from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with the potential to add a fourth day in the near future.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the doctor during dental exams, cleanings, and procedures (chairside assisting)
• Assist with laser frenectomy and sedation cases
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and sterilization areas
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos
• Help keep our little patients comfortable and engaged
• Communicate clearly and kindly with parents and team members
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records

What We’re Looking For

• Active Florida Dental Assistant certification is required
• Florida X-Ray Certification is required
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before start date) is required
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is strongly preferred, but not required
• Expanded Functions Certification is strongly preferred
• Chairside assisting experience is required
• At least one year of paid chairside dental assisting experience is required (internships and externships excluded).
• Comfortable assisting with behavior guidance techniques and working with children of varying developmental needs
• A patient, empathetic approach, especially with anxious or neurodivergent children
• Dependable, organized, and proactive attitude
• Someone willing to grow with our practice
• Willingness for cross-training in other office functions, as appropriate
• Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are a must
• We are seeking someone who values consistency, professionalism, and long-term growth within our practice
