Registered Dental Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children of all ages, has a positive attitude, and is committed to helping patients feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits.

Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric dental care in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children develop healthy oral habits and positive relationships with dental care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures while ensuring each child feels safe, comfortable, and supported.
• Build rapport with patients and families to create a welcoming and positive dental experience.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments according to infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Take dental radiographs while following all safety guidelines.
• Monitor patients receiving nitrous oxide sedation.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment information accurately.
• Provide oral hygiene education and post-treatment instructions to patients and parents.
• Help manage patient flow and maintain an efficient schedule.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Work collaboratively with team members to create a fun, child-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience required; pediatric dental experience preferred.
• Current certification in:
• Coronal Polishing
• Sealants
• Dental Radiography
• Nitrous Oxide Monitoring
• Comfortable working with children, including those who may be anxious or have special healthcare needs.
• Strong communication skills with both children and parents.
• Positive, patient, and team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
