Receptionist (Pediatric Dental Office)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional administrative support and customer service. This position requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Make every child smile :)
• Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the office, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and handling cancellations.
• Perform insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage options.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize dental software systems (Oryx) for managing patient information and appointments.
• Handle phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
• Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance verification processes is essential.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records and scheduling.
• Proficiency in using dental software systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
