Position ResponsibilitiesDental Hygiene

• Provide comprehensive periodontal hygiene care
• Perform periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and follow-up care
• Complete full periodontal charting and update clinical findings
• Take high-quality digital X-rays and clinical photographs
• Review and update medical histories, medications, and vital signs
• Educate patients about periodontal disease, oral-systemic health, and home care
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation
• Support clear handoffs between doctors, assistants, treatment coordinators, and the front office team

Myofunctional Therapy

• Complete myofunctional evaluations and document clinical findings
• Develop individualized therapy plans based on each patient’s needs
• Guide patients through exercises that support nasal breathing, proper oral rest posture, swallowing patterns, and tongue function
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy recommendations as appropriate
• Educate patients and families about myofunctional disorders and treatment goals
• Support patients before and after frenectomy or other airway-focused treatment
• Collaborate with our doctors and outside providers to coordinate care
• Maintain detailed and timely therapy notes

Clinical and Team Support

• Follow all sterilization, infection-control, OSHA, and WISHA requirements
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully prepared operatories
• Assist with instrument care and clinical readiness
• Communicate proactively and contribute to a supportive team environment

Schedule

This is a part-time position. Flexible scheduling may be available based on the needs of the practice and the selected candidate’s availability.

Requirements

• Active Washington State Dental Hygiene License
• At least one year of dental hygiene experience
• Myofunctional therapy education, training, or clinical experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional patient care
